Design Verification is planned, performed and documented to ensure that the design development outputs have satisfied the design and development input requirements.

Design Verification includes the following:

• Review of design stage documents before release.



• Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of calculations, and performing alternative calculations when required.



• Comparing designs with similar proven designs, if available.



• Assignment of qualified drawing checkers and ensuring that drawing checking is completed.



• Review of design output documentation after changes have been made to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with design output.



• Documented certification and approval of all design output.
